Our cover of Tom’s Diner is out on itunes! It’s part of a CD benefitting Aids Project LA called Uncovering A Cure.  It has a lot of great LA bands doing covers of their favorite songs.  The proceeds go to a good cause, so please support.

The original (which was actually a remix by DNA) was a big influence on me. Back when it first came out, it was one of the first records I could remember that mixed a hip hop break with a warm female vocal. merging styles and creating something unique. it didn’t fit into a genre, but it didn’t matter, because it was so dope.

Another awesome thing about  ”Tom’s Diner” is the fact that the actual place she is writing about in the song is the coffee shop used for the exterior shot on Seinfeld.
